Ancestors, Earth & Body
conscious dance weekend
w/ Jo Hardy
5 to 8 Nov 2026, Feel2B (Lisbon)
*sleeping on-site optional

"We are all links in a great chain of being, stretching back into the mists of time and forward into the unknown future. To forget our ancestors is to sever a vital connection, leaving us adrift and without true roots.”
- Indigenous wisdom
For many of us, these feel like competing impulses. We can be expressive and free or we can be tender, open, careful with each other. But rarely both at the same time. The wildness risks overwhelming. The tenderness risks hiding what's true. And somewhere between the two, the fullness of who we actually are gets lost.
This weekend is an invitation to explore the whole territory. Through conscious dance, embodied inquiry and practices from Authentic Relating, we will play with what becomes possible when we stop choosing between our fire and our softness — and bring both into the room.
Together we will:
-
Move freely and fiercely, letting the body's wild intelligence lead
-
Show up tenderly in real-time contact, revealing what is true, receiving what is offered
-
Explore the edges where authenticity and intimacy meet, and ask different things of us
-
Dance with difference, activation and the beautiful mess of genuine encounter
-
Discover what emerges when we bring both wildness and tenderness to the space between
You are welcome whatever your movement experience. Come as you are... wild, tender, and everything in between.
